Follow these quick steps to make a copy of our Looker Studio report and connect it to your own Google Analytics 4 property.

Step 1: Make a Copy of the Report

In the shared report template:

  • Click the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner
  • Choose “Make a copy”

Step 2: Replace the Data Source

When prompted, you’ll see a screen showing the original data source and a field to choose your new one.

  • Click the dropdown under “New Data Source”
  • If your GA4 source is listed, select it
  • If not, click “Create data source”

Step 3: Create a New GA4 Data Source

In the “Create data source” window:

  • Select “Google Analytics”
  • Log in (if needed) and choose your GA4 property
  • Then click “Next”

Step 4: Select Your GA4 Property

  • Choose your correct GA4 property
  • You can rename the source if needed
  • Then click “Add to report”

Step 5: Confirm & Copy

Once you’ve selected your GA4 property, you’ll be brought back to the copy dialog.

  • Click “Copy Report”

Done! You now have your own version of the report using your GA4 data.

Important Notes

  • You do not need Looker Studio Pro to do this, you can register a free account if you don't have one already.
  • Make sure your Google account has access to the GA4 property.
  • All filters, visuals, and layout from our template will work automatically with your data.
